Heroes finds fifth new reinforcement in talented Xavier Cork
American big man signs for two seasons in Den Bosch

Heroes Den Bosch has found their second big man for the 2024-2025 season in Xavier Cork. Together with Menno Dijkstra, he will provide the necessary height and muscle under the boards. The 23-year-old American is transferring from Texas Christian University (NCAA, Big 12 Conference), where he played for the past three seasons. Before that, the 2.06-meter tall center played two seasons for Western Carolina University (NCAA). Notably, Xavier is signing a two-season contract (a one-season contract with a team option from the club to extend it for another year).

Head coach Erik Braal is pleased with Cork's arrival and explains: “Xavier is a promising, dynamic 5 who stayed somewhat under the radar at TCU because he was part of a team full of talent. He held his own well in the Big 12, the strongest conference in the NCAA. We believe that with the role he will play for us, being an inside scorer, an unselfish passer, and a defender with a high motor, he will show a lot to the fans. From the club's 'Makes you fly' philosophy, we also wanted to rejuvenate the team and become an increasingly important springboard for talented players. The fact that we might work with Xavier for two seasons is a great result of the negotiations in this context.”
