Sherron Dorsey-Walker stays in Den Bosch!
Cup Final MVP to play in Red & Blue next season

Heroes Den Bosch can also count on the services of Sherron Dorsey-Walker during the 2024-2025 season. The experienced American was added to Erik Braal’s squad in October 2023 after the sudden departure of Demario Mayfield.

SDW made a significant impact, especially during the cup tournament. Thanks to his strong performance in the second game of the semi-finals against ZZ Leiden, Heroes reached the cup final. In that final, Heroes faced a long-standing deficit, but under Sherron’s leadership, the team seized the momentum at the right time, bringing the cup back to Den Bosch after eight years. SDW was rightfully crowned Cup Final MVP.

However, Sherron doesn’t feel completely satisfied with the past season, and Heroes Den Bosch is not yet a closed chapter for him: “Of course, firstly because of the lost play-offs final. The whole team felt there was more potential. When I came to Den Bosch, I had just returned from a long injury. This made the preparation for the new season far from optimal, and I joined the group only after the pre-season. Therefore, I am very motivated to start working with the (new) guys from day one, especially since the team is getting younger and coach Braal can use my senior leadership, which was the reason he brought me to Den Bosch, even more! I hope to have even more impact as a player and as a mentor for the guys at the beginning of their (European) careers.”

Naturally, head coach Erik Braal is also very pleased with the extension: “With Sherron on the team, we not only have a very good player but also an additional coach on the field. He helps with the culture in the locker room, dares to give his opinion, and can see what the team needs from him that day and adapts his role accordingly. He is a proven good player who can give something extra during important games, as he did in the cup final. With his impact on the field and the rejuvenation of the squad, extending Sherron was a logical decision and one of our priorities this summer.”
