Heroes signs Kosovo youth international Mal Syla
18-year-old talent signs for at least one season

Mal Syla (27-7-2006) is the first talented youth player to join the Heroes Den Bosch roster this season. The 2.02-meter-tall center recently played for Kosovo's under-18 team during the U18 European Championship (Division B). He averaged 21 minutes per game, scoring 4.1 points, grabbing 4.1 rebounds, and providing 1.4 assists. In Den Bosch, Syla has signed a contract for one year with an option for an additional year.

Erik: "Mal's arrival is actually a double-edged sword. He needed a new environment to further develop as a player, and with a three-man rotation in the inside position, he helps us during training. We hope, of course, that he will make significant progress and eventually earn minutes in the professional team's rotation. Until then, he will train with the professional team and get his minutes with the second team."
