Extra experience and scoring power heading to the Maaspoort

For the upcoming season, head coach Erik Braal can count on the services of experienced guard/forward DJ Fenner. The 29-year-old, 1.98m tall American initially played in the Portuguese league for Sporting Lisbon in the 22/23 season but impressed in the FIBA Europe Cup (averaging nearly 19 points/almost 40% three-pointers in the group stage) with Polish team Gdynia. This strong performance led to a transfer, where he finished the season with an average of over 15 points and almost 5 rebounds per game.

Technical manager Roel van de Graaf about the new signing: "We focused on an experienced player with an international résumé and scoring ability, and we succeeded more than well in that. Moreover, we had extensive discussions with DJ, and we see a true enthusiast in him. We sense a strong desire for winning as a common thread."

Head coach Erik Braal adds: "DJ was looking for an ambitious yet stable environment in which he could take the next step in his career. He truly wants to contribute to a winning team and is a 'two-way player' who excels when he's locked in on defense. That is an important addition to the players we already have!"

DJ Fenner will arrive in the Netherlands with his wife and two children in mid-August.

Welcome S2324 DJ Fenner
