Heroes brings Troy Koehler to Den Bosch
22-year-old Dutchman signs for two seasons

Troy Emeka Koehler (30-07-2001) is the second new acquisition for Heroes Den Bosch for the 2024-2025 season. The guard/forward, born in The Hague, is coming from Den Helder Suns, for whom he played the last three seasons. Before that, between 2018 and 2021, the 1.94 meter tall "high flyer" played for ZZ Leiden in the former DBL. Koehler has signed a two-year contract with Den Bosch.

Den Helder Suns
In the northern region of North Holland, Koehler developed into an important player, increasing his average playing time from 10 minutes in his first year to over 25 minutes. In those 25 minutes, he averaged 10 points per game, grabbed 2.6 rebounds, and made 1.1 assists.

Next Step
Head coach Erik Braal is looking forward to working with Koehler: "After open conversations with Troy, we are getting a hungry young player who is willing to invest a lot of time and energy into improving. He has made significant progress in the last seasons at Den Helder and has also shown his abilities against strong teams. It will be great to work with him on his further development."

Troy is also enthusiastic: "After three seasons in Den Helder, I'm ready to show what I can do at the highest level in the Netherlands! I've had good discussions with coach Braal about my development as a player and how I fit into his plans for the coming years. I'm really looking forward to being on the field with my new teammates and exciting the fans with my athletic play."
